We're building the KeyLab 49 / 61 / 88 mk3 agent: 4 experts in one (recording engineer, MIDI master, synth specialist and DAW expert) with the official manual loaded on top. Own one? Sign up now and get it free for 30 days the day it launches.

The KeyLab 49 / 61 / 88 mk3 sends MIDI to your computer; your sound comes out of your audio interface. Connect the interface outputs to the speakers with TRS to XLR (or TRS) cables. These are powered (active) studio monitors with balanced line inputs (about 10–20 kΩ), so the KeyLab 49 / 61 / 88 mk3 drives them directly. No separate amplifier needed. Never plug a line output into passive (unpowered) speakers. 🔊 New to speakers? Read the Speaker Guide →
