About The MPC SAMPLE

The MPC SAMPLE is AKAI Professional’s portable sampler, sequencer and effects processor, inspired by the classic MPC60. It’s built for sampling, looping and beatmaking without a computer or a DAW — grab it, record something, chop it up, and start building a beat right away.

It has 16 RGB-lit, velocity-sensitive MPC pads with aftertouch, a 2.4″ full-color display with waveform editing, and an intuitive chopping workflow. Record from the built-in microphone or plug in through the two 1/4″ mic/line inputs, with up to 20 minutes of sampling per sample. Pad and knob effects plus an effects processor let you shape the sound as you play, and it comes loaded with over 100 factory kits.

It runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (about 5 hours of playback) and has a built-in speaker, so you can make beats anywhere. For your studio it adds two 1/4″ line outputs, a headphone jack, MIDI in/out, CV sync out, and USB-C for power, audio, MIDI and file transfer. Samples and projects are stored on 8 GB of internal memory, expandable with a microSD card.
